Every parent is aware of the problem of driving by a McDonald’s and not stopping. You hear it for at least a few blocks and oftentimes the entire ride home: “I want a happy meal!” “I want to go to McDonald’s!” Why is this? What makes kids find the happy meal so alluring? It can’t be the toy surprise inside, kids get gadgets and gizmos that are ten times better than that on a weekly basis. It can’t all be due to the colorful box, packaging works but not to this degree. That can leave only one thing. I am beginning to believe that McDonald’s “spikes” the grease in their deep fat fryer with nicotine. It keeps ‘em coming back for more and more. They may even exhibit signs of withdrawal if they’ve stayed away too long.
