Whether you like old movies or not, if you like thrillers then you owe it to yourself to check out the Alfred Hitchcock film ‘Rope’. Rope stars Jimmy Stewart as a college professor who has been invited to a dinner party by two of his former students. This isn’t your ordinary dinner party as the hosts have a secret they are keeping, a secret affecting someone associated to each one of the guests they have invited. Rope isn’t Hitchcock or Stewart’s most famous movie, but it is one of their more interesting ones. The movie is shot from a perspective that it appears to be all done in one take. Naturally because of film roll length restrictions, shooting a whole movie in one shot wasn’t possible, but it is edited to look as much like that was done as possible. A very interesting accomplishment in film making and a highly recommended film from me.
