I just saw an ESPN Outside The Lines report that looked at the manufacturing and distribution process of those Super Bowl Champion T-Shirts that appear on the sidelines and in the locker rooms right after the game is finished. What happens to the ones that were meant for the other team. Many people don’t think about what becomes of all those New England Patriots Super Bowl Champion T-Shirts that were printed and not distributed because of the New York Giants victory.

It turns out that the shirts are donated to a group that distributes them to needy children and families outside of this country. It showed a village in Nicaragua where the shirts were distributed. It was pretty cool seeing a whole village running around in NFL t-shirts, kind of humorous. The best part is that a girl’s soccer team from that village used the t-shirts as their soccer jerseys and went on to win their league title. So, those shirts were worn by champions after all.
