What are the top 25 most polluted metro areas in the United States?  The American Lung Association has done the work for you and come up with the list below.  This is based on 24 hour short term particle pollution.  An interesting thing to note is that more than a third of the locations are located in California.

Maybe California shouldn’t be thought so highly of in terms of beautiful locations.  Maybe we should look to states like Maine, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, or even Florida who don’t have any representation on that list.  Something to think about next time you plan a vacation.
