First let me say this, I’m not a Democrat.

That being said, I need to comment on the extended Democratic primary between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that finally looks as if it is reaching its conclusion. It seems like all you hear about on TV news channels is how this is tearing apart the Democratic party and how will either candidate survive in the general election after going through this battle. First, I think it has made both candidates stronger because it has shown they can handle a long drawn out fight. I also think what it has essentially done is keep John McCain out of the news and off message until he sees which one is going to surface as the nominee. Even if the coverage was split in thirds with 1/3 going to Obama, 1/3 going to Clinton and the final 1/3 going to McCain that would mean that 2/3 of the coverage was going to the Dems… I think this worked out in their favor.
